Massage Therapy information
Client Communication Policy
All clients are asked to communicate openly, subjectively and objectively about the massage including: questions about
the massage protocol, pressure of the massage during the massage, area being worked on, and experiences with a previous
massage therapist. Feedback is very important in such a personal field and is greatly appreciated by the massage
therapist even during the massage.

Therapist Attire and Hygiene
Massage therapist will always be well-kept, odor-free, with well-trimmed nails, fresh breath, and wearing clean clothes.
Client is encouraged to shower or bathe before massage therapy session but it is not required.
Dressing and Undressing
Time will be allotted for each client to undress/dress in privacy. Client is invited to remove all garments of clothing for
higher effectiveness of massage but can elect to wear undergarments.
Draping
All clients will be on massage table with cloth sheet covering the body except for the head and the area that massage
therapist is currently working on. Genital, breast (on women), and gluteal cleft will always be covered.
Information About Massage Therapy
Client is encouraged to ask questions about the effects of massage, the techniques used during the sessions, and other
massage-related questions.
Code of Ethics/Confidentiality
All things a client says or writes, and anything that occurs during the treatment session is considered confidential information.
This information will not be discussed with others and should not be discussed outside of the massage therapist/client relationship.
Massage Therapist and Client Conduct
All services are advertised as non-sexual and will be compliant with Illinois code of Ethics and Regulations with regards to inappropriate behaviors. Inappropriate behaviors include but are not exclusive to jokes of sexual nature, sexual advance toward massage therapist, and touch of genital, gluteal cleft region, and genital areas. Massage therapist will end session if conduct is inappropriate.
Right to Refuse Services
Should massage therapist feel at risk or uncomfortable for any reason, stated or not, Massage Therapist reserves the
right to end massage and charge client a "prorated" fee for time actually spent massaging.
Scope of Practice
Massage Therapist is not a medical doctor and will not claim to cure, diagnosis, or treat any disease but instead offer
hopes of relaxation and stress reductions.
Reschedule/Cancellation Policy
Client must give massage therapist at least 24 hours notification to reschedule or cancel scheduled massage time. If
less than 24 hours exists before scheduled session, client is to reimburse massage therapist for lost time without receiving
services. Should client refuse to pay for session, no further appointments will be made by therapist for services
offered.
